Hi, I’m Fred Woodrum.

I started this practice with a clear vision: to empower people to communicate with confidence during their everyday lives. My approach is relational, real-world, and evidence-based — with a special focus on supporting adolescents and young adults at pivotal points in their social, academic, and professional lives.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Spanish with a focus on Hispanic Linguistics, along with a minor in Linguistics, from the Ohio State University. I continued my education at OSU, completing my master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and gaining additional training in Portuguese through the FLAS fellowship. This robust background in linguistics and multilingual communication provides me with a unique advantage in understanding and teaching the intricate mechanics of speech, language, and communication.

Over the past several years, I've had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, from elementary school to middle school in both English and Spanish. My experience also extends to years of volunteer mentoring with middle and high school students, which deeply informs the trust-centered and highly relational style I bring to every session.

While I specialize in areas like articulation, fluency, and social-pragmatic communication, my goal always extends beyond just clinical progress. I'm committed to equipping every client with practical tools they can use to build meaningful friendships, express themselves authentically, and achieve their real-life goals. Therapy with me is built on genuine connection, individualized support, and tangible outcomes—whether we're working together in your home, online, or within the community.

As a bilingual provider, I also offer services in Spanish depending on client needs. I’m committed to creating a welcoming, flexible, and empowering space where every client feels seen, heard, and supported.

I look forward to the opportunity to support your everyday communication needs!
